When I was ‘bout four or five my momma’ brought me an’ Greg to tha’ zoo. I rmember it bein’ sucha huge deal cause we really couldn’t afford ta’ go ta’ places like this, since my piece a’shit father was’a drunk an’ had lost his job at tha’ fac’tory. My momma’ had to pick up extra shifts at tha’ hotel where she worked just so we could eat, but when she finally got’ta day off she d’sided to take us’ ta see tha’ animals. Heh, I was so excited when we walked through tha’ front gate, that I wouldd’a took off runnin’ if I weren’t already sittin’ on my momma’s shoulders. Greg wanted ta’ see tha’ lizards, but tha’ giraffes were my fav’rite back then. Momma even bought me a stuffed one;Greg gotta’ toy snake.  Late’r that day she bought us both ice cream, and sat where tha’ old park used ta’ be, before takin’ tha’ subway home. It was pr’olly one of tha’ best days of my life.
